Wetland: water and memory

Casa de Día

El Humedal (the wetland) is the heart of this project, functioning as a central axis around which the different spaces and functions of the day house are distributed. The purpose of this design is to integrate architecture with the environment, where buildings are designed to blend into the landscape and establish a harmonious relationship with the wetland and surrounding gardens. The use of local materials, such as stone and wood, along with sustainable construction techniques, further enhances the cultural center's integration into the natural landscape. The structures are delicately raised on wooden stilts, allowing the flow of the wetland water to spread and extend throughout the project — creating a sense of continuity where water and the environment intertwine.
